It is required to thermo-chemically melt-scalp flaws and impurities developed on the surface of the steel block by fuel gas and oxygen to hold a high quality in steel material. This processing is called scarfing, and called hot scarfing in case the material is a hot block or cold scarfing in case the material is a cold block.
We supply the scarfing machine essential to this processing with an integrated set of designing, construction, maintenance and supply of parts, and have a lot of experiences in supplying the machine to nationwide iron works.
It is no exaggeration to say that the performance of the scarfing machine is determined by the performance of the nozzle. The structure of the nozzle, gas jet angle, jetting quantity, mixing ratio of fuel gas and oxygen and so on are researched and developed to achieve optimum combustion in efficiency.
We developed and achieved the world-first scarfing machine-based computer-controlled automation of gas flow rate and pressure control under a technical tie-up with L-TEC, the world highest technology owner, to respond to the demand of conversion to an online system amid the trend toward automation and labor saving in production lines in varieties of sectors in the iron and steel industry.
A complete system has been developed by renovating the existing scarfing machine through development of a number of leading-edge technologies such as the monitoring system of the running condition and menu operation.
